Museums - A Photo Thread

This thread is dedicated to photos of museum buildings, including art museums as well as history and culture and science and technology museums.

It is an additive thread so feel free to post your own photos or others found on the web! It will probably be appreciated if posts clearly label what and where the museum is.

Swindon museum:

You can tell it's a museum, because it has 'museum' written on it.

The addition to the Kansas City art museum makes my teeth melt. Many of the others are pretty bad.

The Cincinnati Union Station museums are simply amazing! As for museums, someone's got to post some photos of the Getty Center in Los Angeles!

Buckeye Native 001, thanks for the Cincinnati Union Station photos, I wish I had visited it when I was in the city, the closest I came to it was seeing it from a distance from the top of the Carew Tower!

glowrock, I have some Getty Museum photos but they are from 2001 and very poor small quality so I will leave it to someone else with better photos!

No problem. The interior photo really doesn't do the place justice.

Many fond memories of school trips and whatnot at that building.

I wonder how the newer building's construction and detailing will hold up over the years, but this building looks really solid.

It looks like the Yamasaki museum aged well, but I think the new signage is questionable.
