Lightbulb Port Carlington

I have decided to make a new city. (This does NOT mean Howich is dead)

Port carlington is alot more realistic than Howich, and will be alot smaller.

A small render with what I have so far:

Looks very good. The only thing to mention is that the lower left building is somewhat thin. Not really usable

That would make the smallest piont around 2 meters ? Your levels seem to be 3 meters high, so stairs would need at least 4 meters in length to get to the next level, than you need elevators. You core would be somthing about 6 to 4 meters. Not much space to use on the upper levels i think.

Dont misunderstood i like the design, but i think you should widen it up a bit. especially if i see it right and your core is about 1/3 of each upper level

Second thing is widen up the sidewalks for at least another meter, so two people could walk aside without fearing of the nearby trafic

Just some suggestions

The Bow doesn't have a core? I had no idea!

I really like this city as I said on SSC. My favorite building is on the VERY right.

I strongly liked what I saw from the very first render of this, which is saying quite a bit. I don't personally see any problem with the skinny building. I've seen a number of buildings that seem inconveniently shaped in real life. I think it is fine. A small building like that could utilize a very compact small elevator, or a paterlifter, or even forfeit the elevator completely (depending upon the applicable regulations of your fictional city). This is good work. Outstanding, actually. I do agree that you may want to widen some of your sidewalks, depending on the traffic flow situation. Residential-width sidewalks are too low-capacity to handle busy downtown foot traffic; but heck... it's your city, and so far it is looking teriffic.

Thanks! BTW, I did widen the sidewalks by 1/2 a meter, so they are now 2 meters wide.

Good start! Very interesting buildings. I especially like the beige twin towered building.
