Give it some time.
The Parq only just opened and that'll probably be the litmus test for the area's success or failure.
Ultimately, the area won't hit its stride until the Arc is completed and the Plaza of Nations is redeveloped.

I believe Anytime fitness is moving into the second floor right now.

And some news express stand is moving into a small unit on first floor with a belgian cafe. I think that's the only thing that got announced coming this year.

Anytime Fitness usually isn't a large facility.
Probably a step down from what they had envisaged originally.

They certainly tore up a lot of real estate for a narrow pipeline.

Are these the twin DEU lines that they are installing?

They don't have much cover to the surface, so I suppose they are not storm or sanitary lines.

Yup - we think so, that was suggested in an earlier post.
Waterworks is on the District Energy Utility as well, but I guess they wanted a new line for The Arc.

How about putting in an extra lane? So is there only going to be 2 lanes on Pacific with the viaducts coming down? What's the point of that extra wide grassy that's just gonna get ruined by dog piss and the winter.

NVM, I've heard it could be GoodLife moving in now. No idea, I guess we will see once they put up some advertisement in the area.

I believe the city is planning to widen pacific and making it a two way street as part of the viaduct removal plan.

However, no idea on how the order of these things will get carried out. Probably not going to make pacific a two way street until they finish removing viaduct.

Makes sense as Goodlife does not have a presence in Vancouver.

Yup, that's right. Not clear how many lanes and how they'll still fit the streetcar in.

Looks beautiful.

It must be temporary. It’s inconceivable it would be left in such a state if they weren’t planning to tear things up again in the near future for some reason.

Making Pacific a two-way street here I'm guessing is going to take up some room.

I can't help but wonder why they bothered making such an irregular lane pattern in the road for such a short distance.

Why not just leave it at the width it was previously?
