Sunsets and sunrises are quite different in SLC because of the west facing mountains, the pollution, and the fact that the sun shines in through the lake so it bounces off the wasatch range on to the Oquirrhs and back.

Have you also learned that secret from the river; that there is no such thing as time? That the river is everywhere at the same time, at the source and at the mouth, at the waterfall, at the ferry, at the current, in the ocean and in the mountains.-Hermann Hesse

Hahaha! Thanks! Just wait a few more weeks. I'm going to make all of your heads pop off with some new photography methods.

Sunset Reflected

This is the view from my back deck.

This is a sunset reflected on the clouds. This photo looks NE, not west. We often see the sunset reflected on the mountains such that the Wasatch Mountains are quite pink.

Never Forget.

Today is the anniversary of Spanish Fork accidentally booking Rage Against The Machine and everyone losing their minds

9000 "delinquents" attended a Rage Against the Machine show in Spanish Fork, Utah, causing everyone to go batshit insane.

Exactly 18 years ago today, the residents of Spanish Fork were closing their stores early, fortifying their homes and literally bracing themselves for the teenage hordes that accompanied Rage, who were touring in support of their 1996 album, Evil Empire.

I probably shouldn't get this... I have no idea how many hours I wasted back in the day of Sim City 2000.

I'm anxious to see how they took the problems that made the latest SimCity virtually unplayable and magnify them on mobile devices. I sure hope there are in-app purchases too.. because that makes everything better!

A few shots of the Boise River in East Boise, the last weekend of Summer. These were taken yesterday while I was biking on the Greenbelt ~ 3.5 miles east of downtown and below Warm Springs Avenue. This is mountain lion territory and no I am not referring to the cougars who live up on Warm Springs Mesa.

and a pond in a new city park further east of the location above.

Hey so what's up with JeffCo schools? Anyone there following it? Just had an article from Jezebel of all places linked to my facebook page. I actually assumed most of Jeffco was already conservative to this degree, and they elected the school board they have, so why all the fuss?
