For Chicago I'd replace 55 East Monroe with New York's Woolworth or Detroit's Gaurdian Building.

I'd love to snatch BofA tower from downtown charlotte and stick him right here in downtown Halifax. He would probably be the tallest thing east of Toronto
Or perhaps Fountain Place from Dallas- we need a sleek, futuristic tower to stand out from all the ugly fake heritage crap we've been building downtown.
Or I might resurrect the WTC twin towers here, that could be fun.
I'm surprised nobody else has thought of doing that in their hometown.

I would take 2 Prudential from Chicago, BOA from Charlotte, or BOA from Dallas.

It would be the tallest thing in Canada outside of Toronto, taller than even the proposed Bow Tower in Calgary! It is 265m tall!

what a great idea for a thread!

here's what id like to see in Atlanta:

From Charlotee - BoA building. its so beautiful
From Philly i'd take One Liberty Plaza, also an incredible building
From Cleveland i'd take Key Tower - great building
From Chicago i'd take...Two Prudential Plaza....(starting to see a trend here)

Obviously Atlanta has some really great individual buildings. what we just need is some shorter infill buildings to fill things in a little bit. but these beauties would look great ;-)

As far as something that's proposed or under construction, I would pick either the Signature Tower from Nashville, or the RSA Tower from Mobile. Either would fit in and look nice in downtown Detroit.

It already has several. I honestly can't think of many buildings that look like Le 1250 Boulevard René-Lévesque, and Le 1000 de la Gauchetière has to be one of the most unique and original buildings in Canada that is over 500 feet. The problem is, like Minneapolis, they are too close in height. If one was about 200 feet taller than the other you'd definitely have a signature though. They already have a tall iconic building, they need a taller iconic building.

I always was fond of the Tower Life Building in San Antonio. Classy, passionate and all the eye catching old details that anyone would love. It needs to be in Salt Lake City.

I feel the same with the 225 South Sixth tower in Minneapolis. Its got the whole package with an high tech vive I like.

For Dallas I don't really want a new "tall tower" for a while, but I'll trade fountian place for a dozen or so blocks of row houses from the San Francisco or, a dozen blocks of Parisian low rises....

I'd like to have the BoC Tower from Hong Kong as the new pinnacle of the Frankfurt skyline.
