Sandwich Tern and young begging for food on Galveston.

Royal Terns and another youngin begging.

Royal Tern about to get his snack stolen by a Laughing Gull.

It took me about an hour of crawling in the mud and water in order to get close enough to these guys to photograph them. I eventually got within about 20' of the birds and terns arent the easiest birds to get closed to, theyre very skittish.

Fun, lively shots. Sometimes that's what it takes to get exceptional photos; going where a lot of people wouldn't take the trouble.

I spy with my little eye a Bald Eagle in your post George.

An early 19th century Cajun house in the third oldest town in Louisiana, Washington in the south central part of the state.

Wilsons Plover at Rollover Pass on Bolivar Island, TX

An abandoned early 19th century Acadian home in the most northerly part of their cultural zone just to the northwest of Washington. About a mile away you get away from the historically Acadian Catholic culture and get back into Baptist forestland country. Its very interesting the Acadian history in south Louisiana. We can thank the Seven Years War for Cajun food

@photoL...you have a good eye for old/gritty houses and the lowdown slighty distorted angles are almost like a trademark.

That's an interesting example of adaptive reuse and an attractive design. To me, certain aspects of it are reminiscent of Michael Graves'
Historical Center of Industry and Labor, in Youngstown:

^Yeah it does look like a Michael Graves style of design. Good eye.

I thought you might be interested in seeing the dairy barn Robert!
