No they've been looking for proposals from the start. It's currently full, it's just the tenants are getting free rent. I hear that it's a really poor setup for separate offices so likely wouldn't be a great option on the market unless someone wanted the whole thing or a whole floor.

That render looks a lot better than the initial one I remember.

I'm a big fan actually. If all the blocks in that neighbourhood started filling up with similar aesthetic builds I would be A Okay with that.

I like the renders for the most part other than the faux balconies on the side.

I haven't seen any plans for the old Parmalat site. Is there any proposals?

They're not faux balconies. They're Juliet balconies, with a full door.

No publicly disclosed plans yet.

Are there 2 storey units? Or do some units not get balconies?

Anyone know about what is being built next to St Boniface University on Aulneau?

With that old building? There are some renders here somewhere. Not sure if it's apartments, condos or what. But they're renoing that old building and adding larger new buildings.

Edit: This thing.

No I'm talking about a construction site on campus, at the corner of Aulneau and Despins, immediately south of the previous (somewhat recent) new addition that extended the building to the south of their old campus building.

The other day when I drove by, there was construction fencing and stuff being excavated, perhaps even piles being driven, don't exactly remember. I thought it was odd since it never came across the page here.

Seems especially brutal since there's several buildings that are 6-9 storeys high on the surrounding streets.

It's the community groups that mobilized against this. Why is it that all St B projects of some magnitude are slow af to get going, they do community consultations and nothing satisfies those people. They're deluded as to the reality of the neighbourhood. I wonder if they understand that causing stagnation will eventually make the area less desirable over time.

^ I don't think they really care... keeping the area as it is, for better or for worse, appears to be their sole priority.
