She's dwarfing city hall now. But not looking as oppressive as height opponents thought.

Still about halfway up though, so there's a chance!

It's ultimately only a 23 storey building, it's not really *that* massive.

Everyone here knows I'm not a height obsessor, but this is reasonable for the area. I spoke out in favour of this particular development and others in Burlington when I lived there.

Actually, I found the exact article I was quoted in: https://www.thespec.com/news/hamilto...dents-say.html

Quote:
Chris Ritsma, 22, admitted he wants to move downtown and as a young person, he was excited about "this kind of development."

"I'm not sure about the exact height or if it's appropriate for the location, but I often hear people my age calling Burlington, 'borington,' and stuff like this brings people and vibrancy to the downtown," he said.
Keeping in mind there were like 25 comments against the height at this point, so I didn't want to give yet another opinion about the height. So I commented on a positive aspect of the development. This was nearly 5 years ago too.

I've started commuting 1 day per week and the downtown developments are visible from the train.

Windows are being installed on the lower floors.

No photos, sorry. I was driving up Brant yesterday.

This one seems to be slow going considering the last picture looks nearly identical

I think my vision has been permanently warped by Vrancor. Am I the only one thinking this looks cheap and is starting to resemble his gems? Maybe I just can't fathom exposed concrete on exteriors anymore.
