Boardner's, 1652 North Cherokee Avenue
There's only a scant couple of mentions that I've found on NLA about Boardner's.
One was a post from
Godzilla (referenced by
BifRayRock) that shows a scene from Ed Wood with Martin Landau and Johnny Depp on the street in front of Boardner's.
The post also references the same L.A. Weekly article that I referenced on the Boardner's website.
Another from
Tovangar2 shows an interior scene inside Boardner's from L.A. Confidential.

I looked for some historic photos of Boardner's, but there does not seem to be any. (?) I searched for photos of Cherokee Ave. or Hollywood Blvd. and Cherokee and didn't have any luck. For being a location that was around since the 20's, and Boardner's since 1942, the only photos seem to be from movies like Ed Wood, L.A. Confidential and this one from Gangster Squad:
Click on the above photo for a very large version. The neon sign in the above photo is yellow, but it's normally green. Uness it flashes/changes--the border in the green photo isn't lit.
As seen in Ed Wood:
