bah...exams, procrastination, and hockey games on the eve of an exam simply don't mix.

Robson street must have been nuts! Was just watching the news and Abby folks work driving up and down streets honking and cheering. A deep playoff run is just what this city needs to lift its spirits! Go 'Nucks

Got to see the game tonight. The Blues look like a very dangerous team. Game 2 will be tougher, but I still think the Canucks will prevail! I still say Canucks in 6 games =)

Possibly the most boring NHL game I have ever seen.

I don't know if it was all of the penalties or what, but, wowwwww! Seemed like everyone was relieved it was over.

It was like a bad movie where the hero still ends up coming through in the end, so at least you feel good about that.

They were quite physical.

I predicted the Canucks would prevail in 6 games. It looks like they are either going to sweep the series tonight (hopefully), or it will go back to Vancouver and go 5 games. My prediction may have been off, but I would prefer the Canucks to finish the series off tonight (in 4 games), rather than allow Paul Kariya to rest, and find the possibility of him playing in game 5.

GO CANUCKS GO!

Blues are playing a very very physical game right now and I really hope none of our players end up injured. Seriously, in the Blues' minds, if they don't feel like they're gonna win, they got nothing to lose. They'll go all out physical and that might really cost us the second series.

I think the Canucks will and can answer the bell to the physicality of the Blues. Besides, I think the refs will come in and stop all the unnecessary scraps, punches, cross-checks, etc. Injuries are a part of the game, but if the Canucks can win tonight (Game 4), then they'll have a week to rest any injury they may be currently nursing. It'll give them time to heal up and be ready to play against their 2nd round opponent. I think they can win tonight, but if not, then they'll definitely win Game 5.

Canucks have got players who don't back down from the rough stuff too: Bieksa, Mitchell, Ohlund, Rypien, Johnson, Bernier, Hordichuk, you could probably even add the Sedins to that mix too.

I don't understand why people always view european hockey players as being "soft" - they have a more skilled and finesse game, but that doesn't mean that they are not physical in their play. the Sedins are strong, physical players - they've been knocked around in this series, but they keep on getting up, and in fact, are physical against the Blues too.

Hey I'm not saying they're not tough or whatever. I'm just saying if they get injured like a sprained ankle or something, that player will have to sit out for however long it takes to get healthy again. My point is that it is possible for the other team to play more aggressively that could ultimately cause our players to have unwarranted injuries. Right now, we are the ones looking to stay healthy for the second series, not them.

It's gonna get real physical, but thats what the playoffs are about. Chicago was targeting Iginla in yesterday's game and it got pretty ugly by the end.

Hey NetMapel. I wasn't saying you were saying the Canucks weren't tough. I was just thinking out loud in how so many people (I've heard on radio, other Canuck boards, etc) have a tendency to think that European players are soft, and that they can't bring their game to the next level, etc, etc. I wasn't accusing you. My apologies if it came across that way. Was definitely not my intention.

Yeah...but Iginla can handle himself. If either of the Sedin fought Iginla - I'd take Jerome in a split second

They just said on CBC the police in the Lower Mainland have been put on high alert.

WTF? Will there be mass riots if the Canucks win?
