Since dewberry owns that deck, it is hard to say when that may happen
SCAD looks to be selling their portion of the noted parking deck/theatre combo. Unrelated to the thread, but this may delay what montydawg is predicting & I am hoping to happen to this hulking deck at 14th & Juniper. Anyways, this will consolidate SCADlanta's campus a bit more to the north as that property was never property utilized by them.

Dewberry is not tapped out, he is just a dick who has exhausted relationships with several construction companies and cost some of them a lot of money.

I heard on Facebook so I take it with a grain of salt but allegedly some anti-gay church is wanting to buy that theatre.

So what's going on with this? How much longer can it sit there unfinished? Will they be fined? It looks sooooooo bad.

Yeah he is disgraceful for the city, he reminds me of trump. Just a big whiny baby. The city I would think could fine him? This was a rather cool building when completed, not very tall, but the entry area was very nice with the trees. By which, were slashed in half.

Campanile is like Streets of Buckhead all over again, but without a global recession to excuse it.

The project includes a 700-seat auditorium.

I know its all about money but for an Art and Design College they did not design anything you could go and admire.

Amen. It's pretty boring and darn close to awful. Even the building already built next to the connector leaves a lot to be desired.

So according to the images, both the 10 story student housing and the 15 story student housing are both under construction; and the 700-seat Auditorium (fronting Spring St) has not yet begun vertical ascent.
Standing alone , the original student tower is not aesthetically offensive (imo); however, the visual massing of the original ATL campus with all of the other grey structures (once completed) may look like a huge prison industrial complex.

On the 15-story building, not yet. It will rise on top of the parking deck.

Quote:
The first phase, within the northernmost building, is expected to arrive in August 2022 with 581 student beds, a dining hall, and a parking garage.

That’ll be followed by the rest in phase two—402 beds, a theater, classrooms, and a fitness center—in August 2023.
