It's amazing how little the Saskatoon skyline has changed, despite the major economic uptick over the past decade. Nice to see that starting to change.
^^^^ Fourth floor columns underway. I noticed they switched the center column on the south side from rectangular (3rd floor) to cylindrical (4th floor).
Still no activity re. the office tower excavation.
^^^^ Maybe its an optical illusion but it looks (to me) like the column they are pouring is not straight.
^^^^ From Rotary Park. Starting to have a presence on the river bank.
^^^^ As prairieguy said, the office tower parkade area has been cleaned up. Also it appears (although I can't be certain) that there are some more survey stakes in.
^^^^ Today they poured the 9th condo floor and were pouring the 6th (?) hotel floor. I wonder what is going on with the rightmost cylindrical column on the 5th floor (wrapped in tarps).
^^^^ I think the condo will wind up with good proportions. I think it might have looked a little "squat" at 16 stories.
^^^^ I wonder how much higher they can go with a mobile concrete pump.
Hotel/condo progressing quickly now. Shoring equipment is expected to be on-site next week for the 1st of the 2 office towers.

^^^^ Looks like the hotel is catching up to the condo (the hotel floors are bigger). They poured three complete condo floors in the three weeks I was away, but the latest floor has taken a lot longer.
Some activity at the office tower site today. Workers can be seen removing the fencing around the office parkade site, and adding new fencing closer to the east side of the condo/hotel. Hopefully this portends shoring and not parking!
Busy Saturday installing forms for condo 16th floor and hotel 14th floor (which is the top floor according to the latest renderings).
Also digging away on Saturday. They were also setting up floodlights... I think they worked well into the darkness Saturday night. I must say these buildings are rising faster than I though they would. I figured they would top out in early May based on the first few floors. Its gonna be a lot sooner than that.
I am thrilled to hear Urban Capital is considering a project at the top of the Broadway Bridge. Given that, I would be very surprised if they also did a project on parcel D/E... unless the new project sells as well as 1RL. Even then I think it would several years out. Maybe another developer will step up.
Looks amazing. This will be a great cluster when completed.
I heard from a friend in Saskatoon that this is drawing existing condo dwellers from downtown to this location. Kind of unfortunate but I can definitely see the draw.
