Cincinnati: Union Terminal, Fountain Square, Nada & Cadillac Ranch *Ultra Wide Angle*

Kevin from http://www.building-cincinnati.com and I took a couple of sets of photos of Union Terminal & Fountain Square last night. It was nice to get out an take photos of Cincinnati for a change since I have been out of the state & country quite a bit lately. (You can see the world gallery here: http://www.pbase.com/cincyimages/cities) I had recently purchased a new wide angle lens so you can see the results of the lens in these photos. The evening was finished off with a beer and dinner from Nicholson's Tavern on Walnut.

Nada Restaurant - http://www.eatdrinknada.com/main.html

Cadillac Ranch - http://www.cadillacranchcincinnati.com (They unbelievably spelled Cincinnati wrong on their website)

The wide angle actually does the Terminal justice. Finally!

Yes, Amtrak still uses Union Terminal but it is closed during the day. The route takes you through Chicago or Washington D.C. and you have to leave at 3AM to catch the train. Cincinnati is basically a stop on the D.C. - Chicago route so we have to deal with the odd hours. It makes more sense to take Megabus to Chicago from Cincinnati than Amtrak.

This is what it looks like behind Union Terminal (There is a secret elevator that the public can take to what was the control station):

Great photos of Cincinnati montecarloss. I found the model of the city to be pretty cool and interesting.

The Union Terminal looks stunning from the inside, but since we live in America, it's underutilized and that's what makes it suck. And Fountain Sq looks magical in those pics.
