Strange video. Some projects have been done for years (Uniplex in Dieppe), others not going ahead (Riverview towers) and out-of-date renders for various ones including Main/Vaughan Harvey. There's no indication the new market is going ahead this year.

There is a rumour floating about that Aquillini is planning a major exterior refit for the Crown Plaza Hotel once the work on the new Baton Rouge restaurant is complete.

The Crowne Plaza could use it, There has been a recent interior upgrade, but the cladding looks pretty dated, especially compared to the adjacent Hilton and Hyatt hotels. It's time for a refresh.

On that topic does anyone have theories on what the space between BR and the Bunker will be used for? The optimist in me wants it to be more than just a parking lot for the restaurant but I'm all set to be disappointed.

I'm hoping for an expansive patio, but, I am resigned that some/most of the space will be used for restaurant parking.

Current status of the Tomato Building:

Five floors down, one to go.

Are you saying the tomato building is actually going to go with 10 storeys?

I think he is confused. The Tomato Building is six storeys, period, end of sentence.

The apartment building to be built across the street as part of the Junction Urban Village is rumoured to be 10 storeys, but, there is no indication it will be built anytime soon.

His posting history is all over the map - generally non specific and random with no real information.

Somewhat incoherent posts. If the tomato building was going to be anything but 6 floors, we'd have heard about it by now.

It would however, be nice to get an announcement from the Junction developers for the next phase of their project. Maybe they are waiting for interest rates to come down before they proceed.

The image you posted was an old rendering. It has since been updated to a 6-storey instead due to opposition of residents nearby. I don’t think you are up to date with information and discussions that have been posted on the forums.

This is the new current rendering:
