They are actively excavating and removing material today. The north side along Discount Tire and the storage facility is dug out and there are 18-wheelers getting loaded with dirt for removal.

Nice. This is the first of several high-rises that will surround Q2.

Looks like development name has changed slightly to Stadium Tower now.

I've made it from downtown to hopsquad before at 7 am for an F1 race in 15 minutes.

Stadium is more accurate since arenas are pretty much always indoor venues. And… since the thing it is named for is a stadium.

By ring you mean Alex Ring, captain of Austin FC, right...?

The developer site says “The engaging ground floor serves as a connective intersection with curated retail and amenities that encourage a sense of community.”

If this doesn't have a bar/restaurant on the Q2 side then these developers are missing a huge opportunity.

This project has been moving very slow. There has been considerable excavation and two crane bases are in place. But it is apparently on hold now per CoStar. A paywall prevents finding out the details.

Just the headlines.....

"Kilroy To Reduce Development Spending, Halting Stadium Tower Project in Austin, Texas
Developer Waits for Motivated Sellers to Come to Market, Lowering Prices

Los Angeles office developer Kilroy said it won't move forward on its Stadium Tower project in Austin, Texas, quite yet."

Doesn't look promising...

Thanks for the big hole right next to Q2 Kilroy.
