I'm glad they retained this art also. As for the museum, I've seen better, and i have seen worse. That being said...such a great addition downtown.

If you go into the gift shop there is a metal screen that was just inside the west entrance of the PO.

As for the building the exterior is mhhhh. however the exhibition space is quite good. there is still quite a bit of potential to add to the spaces. The large blank walls were going to get used in the future, I was told.

@coldrsx Ian, i don't want to be that guy as i know there are others on here who seem to be displeased with your posting which i'm not. Would you mind attaching an actual image or a thumbnail of your photos on the post as well? Some of us are restricted as to what we can view on our work computers and in some or most cases these social platforms are blocked.
Again, i don't want to harp on anyone but if you could kindly attach the image or a thumbnail of the image on here as well as opposed to just the twitter link, i know i'd appreciate it.

Thanks,

Also as a reminder on the impact of Ice District... this was approx 5 years ago before the arena broke ground.

What a transformation.

In other ICE District news, the Stantec Tower crane is starting to be taken down today. 104 Avenue has lanes reduced from 101 St to 105 St, but I am not sure why more than one block of 104th is affected. Do they need that much equipment to take a crane down?

They are parking the flat deck trucks there. The crane is being stepped down. Don't know why they are closing the road down at all.

I can very clearly remember parking my rental car in the big parking lot where JW Marriott and Stantec now stand and thinking, "Something needs to be built here!"

If only I had known....

It’s really shocking to think that downtown even had enough workers to support so much surface parking. There’s must have been tens of thousands of spots a few years ago.
