And there you go. "Thousand footer" is what makes you think the design should be something other than what it is. But it was designed to be exactly what it is meant to be. It just happens to be a supertall tower at 985 ft. In another city, with another skyline, you would have had a need to go more flashy, but this is essentially background filler as far as that goes. And it's still a nice design. But 1,000 ft in New York now is like a 600-700 footer in a lot of places, and most American cities at least won't have as many of
those as New York will have of supertall towers. Crazy, I know, but it's the new reality.
