I thought Ralph Lauren lived uptown (I saw him at Dovetail on W. 77th last Thursday), but may be wrong. I think Calvin Klein lives there though. Apparently these apartments are already worth much more than when they were built.
West Village is one of my favorite neighborhoods, but especially the real low-scale part west of 6th Ave.
