Memorial Day wanderings.

I started off with a few shots in the suburb of Bellevue, which is located just northwest of Pittsburgh, along the Ohio River.

Next up was the city neighborhood of Hazelwood.

Ugh. Looking like the worst parts of Baltimore.

A couple of shots from Knoxville.

Mexican War Streets and West Park (Commons).

Lunchtime.

"Bacdafucup!"

Sigh!

I don't think there is any response necessary. Pittsburgh always cooks it and herodotus serves it up like a champ.

Maybe I'm just a sucker for rowhouses, but Pittsburgh has such a variety of incredible buildings, though many do need some TLC.

The city also looks very green and natural, even if some of it is overgrown weeds. A welcome rural encrouchment into the city

I guess mom never told them to not run with food in their mouth.

Another fantastic set.

I love your threads because you cover a lot of residental hoods. There are a few in LA I really want to do, but just haven't had the time or energy as of late. Anyway good job as usual.

Well, your previous LA hoods threads have been great to say the least, so I'm definitely looking forward to seeing more.

Alright, alright... nice to see Bellevue represented. How about some Ben Avon or Avalon soon? I've always found those communities along the north side of the Ohio interesting for some reason. I like the pics of Hazelwood too... kind of a forgotten Pittsburgh 'hood, but so close to Oakland, Squirrel Hill. Any plans for all of that LTV property along river in Hazelwood?

Nothing will happen until the fate of the highway that is supposed to pass through the area is decided.

^^ Is the proposed highway part of that Mon-Fayette expressway project?

Evergrey, thanks for the Robot City link... that would be awesome for Pittsburgh.
