cladding

The cladding is from Tempio in Spain. It is extruded porcelain tile with an aluminum structure.

Humourous angle, looks like you could go up the ramp to the Town Clock.... This is going to be one of the more interesting buildings. I really like the buildings with a different top and look forward to more buildings with more unique designs.

I'm looking forward to the ski jumping from that roof.

It looks like it is wearing a hat cocked at a jaunty angle.

It is beyond hideous. It is screaming for some streetscape project and undergrounding. After Spring Garden and Quinpool I believe, which means another 10-15 years lol.

Only the intersection of SGR and Queen has been done. I believe Argyle is the most immediate streetscaping project at the moment.

Right, Argyler comes first, then Spring Garden. After those, I think Quinpool, rest of the Barrington, Gottingen and Agricola would be good candidates for streetscape improvement and undergrounding.

I have said it before, I believe all wiring in this day and age should be underground. All new developments should be required to do this as part of their development agreements. I know the Doyle is doing this, others should follow!

Some streetscaping work was undertaken this year at SGR & South Park Street. It consisted of new traffic lights and an expansion of the pedestrian waiting areas.

Not sure if this render was posted before... it explains the current glass colour:

From that rendering perspective it looks like the bow of a ship.

I'm not sure it "explains" much. We already knew it is transparent glass. We just find it hard to understand why.

Fairplay, although the glass is tinted green and previous renderings didn't explain the incorporation of the coloured bits.

How about this... did we know there was going to be a cafe on the raised platform section?
