haha, it's fine Trantor. I wouldn't have known either.

Anyways, here is the new render for the Kitchen. Now, no sun light, just lights inside the house. I added some lights under the cabinets.

in your kitchen, you used a refrigerator that its just a cube with textures, instead of one where everything, including the water dispenser, are modelled. If everything was modelled, you could use different materials for each element. Same thing with the stoves... the stove button textures even have black drawing lines, making the final result look cartoonish.

there are few reflections in your image. Use reflections in MORE materials... most stuff in the real world reflect, you just adjust how much and how they reflect in Kerkythea...

are you sure the refrigerator is the correct height??

another problem is that you are using a point light. Look how hard are the shadows. Oops, I mean shadow. Because there is only one. Not realistic. If its a small light bulb, to produce those hard shadows, then its a VERY STRONG ONE!!

use more lights, use rectangular lights (shadows are not hard), etc, etc

Vray can get tricky. You start throwing in a ton of rectangular lights and the rendering time skyrockets. plus within interiors you have to set the irradiance maps high so your renderings don't blotch. I love just sticking with exteriors, although when you get the time available, vray for SU can do some nice stuff.

Thumbs up I love this...

Who'd have thought that SSP would turn out to be a pretty decent source on tips, tricks and advice for SU. I don't know...it's just something about creative types coming together to help/push each other.

Flames, you seem to to be progressing quite nicely with these interiors. But the best part is that you heard some insightful criticism/suggestions, applied the changes, and it worked great for you.

Trantor, that interior you did was also fantastic.

Alright....all these colors and textures, reflections and light are pressing me to atleast texture my own house model.

Here is a raw- right out of the renderer shot of the skyscraper so far.

The whole project is 260 meters. So far, the skyscraper is 84 meters.

This will be the only update of the skyscraper until its completion

Each floor is about 4 meters, but the thickness of each floor is 0.7 meters.

still... isnt it too much?

maybe floor to ceiling should be about 3.5-3.7, + 0.5-0.7 of floor thickness.
