Finding most sites have come to a crawl these days. Releve seems to be motoring on but it is the exception as far as I can tell.

Yup. Was supposed to be white cladding. I guess the charcoal brick sale is still ongoing.

As long as they don't make a bunch of random metal cladding patterns, should be ok.

This one is not a Neuf designed building, so it gives me hope.

I thought it was just the podiums that were going to be charcoal, white white/beige towers?

Yeah, I know there's a lot of leeway in terms of what's allowed under the guise of "value engineering" but surely using the same colour brick on the entire building instead of following the approved design would require a revision, no? Then again claridge does what claridge wants...

This does nothing to dispel the concerns that it will be a sterile cluster of condos with no street-level life...

The first tower will have a daycare, the second tower will have one retail spot, both will have ground facing residential units. Could be better, but it's not terrible.

Maybe with the planned park over the Aqueduct, Dream LeBreton and the library (and whatever else may come), this area will feel decently lively compared to the Escarpment District with no retail or destinations (at least, for the 20 years prior, outside of the Albert/Bay/Queen block).

The Charcoal delivered was the back order supply for the podium that is not finished. Light grey is apparently the brick for the tower in which a left over stock has been sitting on site for months....Apparently.

There has been a large amount of light grey stone block on site for months. I agree the brown brick that just got delivered is likely for the podium. I've been taking pictures of the deliveries and posting them on Skyrise Ottawa for a while now.

I've never seen such a slow cladding job. Didn't this start before Relevé?

If the tower will be clad with those light grey stones, then in should look decent.

Yeah, it's progress but it's still not great. A daycare and one retail spot don't exactly scream activity.

The daycare is in the second tower actually. The first tower UC right now will have a retail spot facing the new park.

Thanks. Didn't notice the North compass, so I had convince myself North was the other way around, so park/aqueduct on the left, Wellington on the right.

Will the Lett Street along the park still remain? They don't seem to show it in renderings.

First bit of brick has gone up. It's a light grey brick that looks quite nice.

From Pwat_ on Skyrise. We have brick! Apparently it's a light grey, but catches the light quite well, making it look beige late evening.

^Looking good!! I like this angle of the Claridge development, good height variation different color and material but at the same time, isn't it completely crazy to think this prime location in the downtown core, practically a waterfront location still sit 70% undeveloped in 2024.

Great updates. So am I right in thinking that the population of LeBreton and Zibi combined is going to double with the completion of these two highrises?
