Yeah, it's not a ton of "real" international flights yet but 25 international destinations is nothing to scoff at. Hoping for Asia and ideally some South America destinations.

With 25 flights if you look at the 20 year plan, the international terminal (which might end up being the largest and primary terminal in time. with 25 flights and probably at least 5+ more before this terminal opens. If they start with one or two concourses that's more than enough to keep it busy to start.

I wonder if we can hope for a direct flight to Amsterdam down the road.
It would be nice for an AMS flight, however AF/KL Group would likely want their AF PHX-CDG to mature and move to near daily service before adding another route, this could be around 5 years ish I think.

I doubt it. I’m sure they will be announced in the future though. Let see how PHX-CDG goes. If they are doing well on PHX-CDG flights. They will be successful flights.

AMS would be nice but I'm more interested in a new region, between Germany, the UK and France PHX is now pretty well connected into Europe via directs and you can bounce around from any of these hubs to anywhere in the continent.

I'd like to see Central or South America and a few Asia connections.

A direct flight to southern Europe would be nice. Barcelona, Marseille, Rome, Athens, hell even like Belgrade? We actually have a sizable community of former Yugoslavians from the 90's

Yeah, I could see that, I have multiple friends from Bosnia as well, that came here during the war in the 1990s.

I'd love to see a direct flight to any one of those, although I'm partial to Athens (anything to get me closer to Mykonos). In regards to Central and South America, didn't AA once have a seasonal flight from PHX to SJO? I think a flight to PTY (Panama City, Panama) could be a good jumping off point to other cities in Central and South America.

Unfortunately not, PHX-SJO is no longer served. That was former US Airways flew it in the past. They tried it snd it did not work out so well. Due to low passenger demand.

Good Morning, slight correction, AA served PHX-SJO until COVID hit, and in previous years leading up to COVID the route increased from seasonal to near year round (operating 10 months of out of the year).
