Stop 19: Siracusa, Sicily
I took the train from Strasbourg to Paris to catch my flight to Sicily. The wonderful thing about Strasbourg train station is that you can check in your luggage for your flight there and that way you don't have to worry about it until you arrive to your destination. I stayed in Siracusa for a few days over the new year period, i was born there but never lived in it.
Stop 19: Ragusa, Sicily
While i was in Siracusa i did a day trip to the city of Ragusa which is 52 Km away. Public transport in sicily is almost non-existent but i managed to find a train (1 carriage diesel ) to get there in 2 hours and 30 minutes.
Stop 21: Malta
Took a flight from Sicily to Malta (20 minutes) and stayed in the town of Sliema which is the centre of nightlife in Malta. To go around the entire Island of Malta it only takes you 2.5 hours by car/bus.
Stop 22: Casablanca, Morocco
I took a direct flight from Malta to Casablanca. Stayed 2 days on my own before joining a 9 days Intrepid tour around Morocco.
Stop 23: Madrid, Spain
I took a flight from Marrakech to Madrid where I stayed for a week. Madrid is a great city to base oneself in if you want to explore other cities which are easily reachable thanks to Spain's marvellous high speed trains. You will see in the map below the other cities I have visited on day trips while I was in Madrid
Stop 24: Lisbon, Portugal
I flew from Madrid to Lisbon where I stayed for 5 days and while I was there I did a day trip to the lovely town of Obidos. Lisbon is really a majestic and photogenic city and it's really ideal for those who love to take urban photos.
Great photos! We went to Spain and Marrakesh a few years ago. Marrakesh is an incredibly lively and exotic city. I really enjoyed having dinner in the Jemaa el-Fnaa. with the monkeys and snake charmers and the incredible number of people.

Stop 25: Porto, Portugal
I stayed in Porto for 9 days since I have a friend who lives there. Aside from being a beautiful city on its own, Porto is also a great place to use as a base to do day trips as you can see from the map below where I have circled the places I visited while here.
Stop 26: Stockholm, Sweden
Next stop is Stockholm and I was here only for 3 days considering that it is a very expensive city. The infrastructure in the city is great and everything works really well. The only thing I didn't like is the fact that in winter they put the heating up in every building and usually it's all centralised so you are going to boil whether you like it or not!
Stop 27: Bergen, Norway
Stayed in Bergen for 5 days, definitely a much more photogenic city than Oslo and a base to do day trips to the Fjords. Bergen is also one of the rainiest cities in Europe (if not in the world) one time it rained for 3 consecutive months.
You must've seen more things in 6 months than most of us on here in our entire lives...
Very smart way to spend one's money. Traveling like this is priceless when you get an opportunity to do it.
You're not exactly the same following such an experience, are you? It must change some of your mind about a couple of things somehow.
We'll see whether you made it to China. Of course, their regime is controversial in our democratic countries, but it's hard to avoid it nowadays.
At least when it comes to business. I know a bunch of people who had to go over there for their jobs.
