No info on how much the fines could be if the charges stick. But it's nice to see an organization being held accountable.
The first court date is scheduled for Mar 24.

Delsan-AIM Environmental Services Inc. now faces three charges under the provincial Environmental Protection Act related to the demolition of a 120-foot-high melt shop at the former Hamilton Specialty Bar Sept. 30, 2019.
The company is alleged to have discharged a contaminant to the environment “likely to cause an adverse effect” and allowed the pollution plume to spread beyond the Sherman Avenue property. A third charge alleges improper notification of the ministry.

Hamilton’s public health department told residents that dust samples collected in the area showed only “trace” amounts of dangerous carcinogens and that breathing in the pollution was “unlikely” to cause long-term health problems.
Rodgers said he remains skeptical. “Who knows how much of that stuff I breathed in?” he said.
