Yes, they are starting with a large underground parking structure, then the 17 storey apartment building at the back of the site. Then the commercial building fronting Southdale.

They are moving alone quickly on this project, impressed how much dirt has been moved and the amount of equipment there.
3 concrete trucks were lined up on site this morning when I drove by

York has tower crane installed for this first phase. Couldn't see if they have started on footings yet.

I have not looked in the pit yet, but the crane is active and there have been trucks and concrete on site randomly the past week or so.
I work around the corner so drive by this daily

Footings, posts and walls now poured for what looks like the L2 level of underground parking.

Getting L2 level floor ready for slab pour. Also have dug a deep hole to the south of the L2 level walls. Not sure what this is for as the apartment tower is further south of the building fronting Southdale Rd.

Base for a second crane now installed at the very southeast corner of the hole.

Almost done the steel rebar for a large floating slab pour. Should be poured this week. Strange location as the plans showed the 17s tower further south and oriented east west. The 3s office building fronts Southdale Rd and appears to be following the plan.

Floating raft slab poured today and the 2nd tower crane is now up. Also forming underway for what looks like the L1 floor slab under the 3 storey building that will front Southdale.

Getting very close to pouring the L1 floor slab under the building fronting Southdale. Preparing the L2 floor slab for the parking garage now. Should be pouring that next week. The floating slab foundation has got alot of rebar installed and appears close to the concrete pour under what may be the residential building. The orientation is different then what was shown in the early plans. They may have changed it.

Pouring the last section of the L1 slab for parking garage today. Alot of the L1 posts and walls are now poured or formed.
