I don't think those Stargate, StarWars and Borg Startrek Spaceships above are really allien, cause they are occupaied from human in next generations, but...

That second Calatrava building looks like some skyscraper's war helmet, dropped on the ground. And the Experience Music project looks like some giant skyscraper spilled its guts out over the site. Possibly the same ill-fated tower which left that Calatrava-helmet behind?
But that first pic of the Eden Project is gorgeous- I wish I had a bigger version.

From 1939 to 1946 near Herzberg/Elster in Germany existed this radio mast with a "flying saucer" on its top. It was the mast of "Deutschlandsender III" and with a height of 337 metres the second-tallest man-made object at those days!
The mast was an insulated mast radiator, the "flying saucer" served for electrical lengtheing.
