Because I pointed out your irritating statement I guess...it's annoying to you that I pointed out to you how many other statues of guys on horses display the perception of dynamic movement, even many of them in this thread. Why does that annoy you? I think you must already be annoyed and you're projecting it toward you computer screen...

There's also a dynamic movement in that statue, while other statues of this kind often are more static and boring.

This one is located at Texas State University in San Marcos. Campus legend says to rub the horse's balls for good luck on testes.

Willem van Oranje the Father of the Fatherland.

Stadhouder-Koning Willem III. Succesfully invaded and ruled England.

Koning Willem II. Fought in the battle of Waterloo.

Rulers who personally commanded armies in battle tend to have a statue of them on horseback.

The most famous statue of a guy on a horse in Boston is actually the very first statue of George Washington on a horse. He still sits proudly in the Public Garden.

From flickr (AntyDiluvian, mrmojo, Pear Biter:

The most natural choice for a guy on a horse in Boston would be Paul Revere. There's a statue of him in the North End.

Again flickr (Mr. Guybrarian):

And I love this one. It stands in front of the Museum of Fine Arts. By clockworkpink
