I would guess 1985 or 86. Several buildings including Campanile, IBM and 999 Peachtree are all well under construction and finished in 1987.
Lots of fun to compare the 2 photos. I moved here in 1982 and saw the end of construction of the GA Pacific building and have enjoyed watching every highrise go up since that time. One of the best memories was watching a helicopter place the gold cupola on top of the old IBM tower.
