Any idea why they chose to call this "North Station"? I'm not aware of any "station" being at that location.
Although Gladstone Street didn't exist as such at the time, the
1878 Atlas just shows it as a residential area with small lots and presumably houses on site. No sign of a train station, or street railway station, stage coach station, etc...
Not a big deal, actually, as a lot of buildings receive nonsense names. I was just curious if this name was actually paying tribute to some historical location, but apparently not.
