Taking a Chicago vacation this summer. Love seeing these kind of sets, it just gets me more pumped all the time. I love that city. Such a sexy skyline.

Very nice. The towers are impressive as hell, but I really liked the neighborhood shots the best. Those show the type of area I enjoy the most.

Absolutely! While of course Chicago has an amazing skyline and fantastic downtown/lakefront amenities, it's the neighborhoods that really set it apart. It was nice spending almost no time in downtown proper and spending the vast majority of the time traveling from neighborhood to neighborhood, seeing the incredible diversity amongst the various locations.

And thanks again everyone for all the kind words!

Not sure how I got around there, Segun. Maybe thanks to a few kind SSPers and a whole lot of trains and buses? Hahaha

Very much so, even if it had nothing at all to do with Chicago-style deep dish!

I love the grand planning and colossal scale of the architecture downtown and the genuine, down to earth urbanity of the nabes. Lots of eye candy going on!

I have to admit though, for some reason I always prefer seeing Chicago on dark cloudy days. She looks good in the sun, but nobody does a better dark and moody.

I think you know the answer to that one already. Nice shots. Love the cow statue above the door. Steak place?

Yeah, I think the breathalyzer needed to be used in that instance! Haha Anyhow, the place with the cow statue above the door was a German delicatessan/restaurant, I'm sure they served steaks as well! Heh

Same here! For some reason grey & brownstones contrast so much better under overcast instead of blue... gives the city so much more character IMO!
