i saw lighting tests going on over the weekend on that cosmo blue strips. loos like there may be a light show - they were moving, turning on and off, in a pattern. maybe there will be a little movement with those blue lights.

also - the front cosmo entry LED signage riht above the main pedestrian entry has a neat bent LED screen with 'The cosmopolitan' above of it BUT below the screen it says 'bridge to city center'......kinda dumb to have that as your tagline - even considering the stairs for the bridge is 50 feet to the left.

reminds me of monte carlos new website...."monte carlo....gateway to city center."

New Tropicana Rendering - Remodeled "Tiffany" Casino Pit.

Nicole over at the Tropicana recently posted the rendering of the new casino pit area for me over on the Trop's Facebook page. The Tiffany ceiling will be removed, they are looking for someone who wants to preserve it.

yes dynamic lighting is the way to go.

for all cosmo tries to stand out from city center it will also use many people's assumptions that think Cosmo is a part of citycenter to get them inside,

ok i saw the "bridge to citycenter" myself it does look pretty strange, all i have to say, the LED sign itself also has some kind of metal bracket thing on it as well, maybe it's some kind of design but its not just a giant screen.

ok so i saw cosmo again and the entrance from the skybridge has an led screen too and it says get this... "escalator to Bellagio"

I guess cosmo wants people to go through it knowing they can also reach resorts on the other side but come on, Cosmo is not some alleyway to reach citycenter or bellagio it's a full fledged $4B resort its kinda demeaning in a way.

I hope citycenter puts up a sign on Harmon saying bridge to Cosmo here.

Although i guess if people go into Cosmo and then find that they dont want to leave that's another story.

also m resort being sold

They punctured the layer of Caliche beneath the hotel as I understand it. Below that is a huge sediment sponge full of water. If the Caliche layer is punctured, water pours in, especially in areas closer to the center of the valley.

Cosmo C Sign is up on west face just as expected.

Now wonder if there will be two more "C"s on the sides of the other tower.

Note also the Cosmo letters on the north side actually do not fit the building it sticks above the roof kinda weird, but on the other side it does fit.
