Wilmington Riverfront

Potentially beginning of very big news for the Riverfront, as the Riverfront Development Corp. announced they have purchased the Salvation Army and Rehab Center on the "other side" of the Riverfront. This parcel sits right in front of the Christina Landing towers, and will most likely begin the development of the eastern side of the river.

In other Riverfront news...
The restaurant pad between the Iron Hill Brewery and Big Fish will no longer be developed as was planned. The project is essentially dead. The owners of Big Fish started to build a new place to be called Taco Grande, but covid seems to have killed those plans.

However - news of an upscale steakhouse in a new building is in the works:

"Plans are going forward for a high-end steakhouse, market and other venues on a 2½ acre parcel at the Wilmington Riverfront at Beech and Justison streets. More information is coming, possibly by early July, on the mixed-use project, Sugrue said. Stay tuned."
