I know I've seen Sunoco before in Montreal.

Robin's is practically non-existant in New Brunswick. I think there are only 2-3 in the province. Tim's has such a stranglehold on the east coast it's not funny.

Having Ron Joyce out here probably doesn't help that much.

And well stranghold might be an underexaggeration. Timmy's dominates the skyline of Atlantic Canada.

One of the most notable features of the skyline of Port Arthur is a McDonald's sign.

A Google car was spotted in Windsor a few days ago....worst possible time for this to happen. A couple of city councillors discussed contacting Google to ask them to leave and come back when the city strike is over. Google didn't comment on Windsor's situation directly but said the images will be updated and replaced 'eventually'.

I wonder if they are still doing Toronto, too? And didn't they do Winnipeg during the spring when the city was dealing with floods?

They have horrible timing.

There was a couple of Robins Donuts in Quebec... One can be seen here:http://maps.google.com/maps?f=q&hl=en&ie=UTF8&om=1&ll=46.80592,-71.312889&spn=0.001335,0.002406&t=h&z=19> in Quebec City. It is now closed. There was a few others in the Montreal area but all closed as well. As for the Sunoco file in Quebec, well Ultramar made a deal with Sunoco a few years back and removed the Sunoco brand entirely. They replaced it by Ultramar at most locations.

I don't, but I did notice they keep adding new areas in the US. It's like they're willing to streetview all of the US, even some of the most remote rural parts. Almost all of the little villages by the Quebec border are now done.

They're doing that with Australia too. Google's just following the same plan here...start with the big cities and work their way down.

Maybe, although it's hard to see how that would significantly affect what you'd see on a Google streetview. Maybe the odd catfish swimming by. If they do Toronto right now it would certainly cure the city of its "too clean" image.

If you get really desperate to see Canada in street view you can just go to Maine and follow the Saint John River. The have pretty much every highway done.

yes for me as well. I use google maps for work often, so before I type in the address I'll drag the little man and hope that streetview will show up for Canada.
