This building is now called the Collaborative Health Education Building (CHEB)

Except 4th and 5th floor... Neither floors are anything more than base building.. Supposedly they have been tendered for completion however, given that 3rd took about 9 months to complete it will be a while for full completion.. Looks good from the outside tho.

Architects and engineers need to give more thought to the aesthetics of support posts. While round concrete sonotube posts are the worst, these skinny metal ones are just about as bad and look insubstantial. While I'm sure both are acceptable from a structural support view, they need to be made to look better.

Agreed. I'd rather just ditch the overhang and build out to the sidewalk. Support posts are almost never better than utilitarian-looking.

Those "skinny metal ones" appear to be I-beams and yes, they kinda have to be acceptable from a structural support point of view (y'know, engineering and all that stuff).

Haven't seen it in person, but from Dmajackson's photos (see below), it appears that they have installed some kind of cover over them (you can see a seam in the pics). I like the look, actually.
