Ruo-Xandell - an extension of the popular tourist city of Surfers Paradise - Queensland, Australia .

Named after the cities main developer who realised Queensland's magnificent waterways should be exploited to full advantage , the city planners received major funding from the government to help inject new life into the Gold Coast and returning it to the stature of one of the worlds most popular holiday destinations .

Yep, i have way too much spare time !

I should have all the buildings in place today or tomorrow and the ground detail by the end of the week , i'll post some more pics later

The bridge cables were more tricky than the trusses on the skybridges

^^What an amazing shot!! I imagine those cables were difficult, but do you plan on making more of them (since it's proably not enough to realistically suspend the pavement) but hey, even if not, it is definately one of the coolest bridges I've seen

thanks,,

the arc of the bridge takes most of the weight , the cables are mostly for stability + the steel is high tech, produced using carbons from Mars

To be tottaly honest, I never was crazy about your original Sketchup City, it really had no scale, and it was too dark.

But now I LOVE THIS CITY! Truely one of my favorites

thanks i was never really very impressed with the last city either , it sucked my ass .
The main problem was because my PC is hooked up to the tv , i was doing everything while sitting on the lounge using a book as a mouse pad

It was a joke and it refected in the city
now i have a table set up in here and all is good

rbowk , the only thing this city has in common with the Gold Coast is the location , although i'm doing a copy of Q1 atm that i will stick in there

the designs are top secret Austin

The skybridges were Peters idea , glad you like them

How is the clarity on the TV? Is it an HDTV? Any TV I've ever hooked up to my computer had such crappy quality that I couldn't even read any text. I'm assuming you have a really nice TV...?
