Whenever someone is imaginative, this board finds a way to ruin it.

I liked Dranoff's redesign for Broad and Pine until someone pointed out it looked like a Cheesecake Factory

Between the required set backs and windowless walls, I think this isn't too bad. Glad to have it. I hope it sells out before the dirt flies and gets others thinking along these lines.

it's significantly worse than 500 walnut simply due to where it is situated on the block. These are both very narrow towers that have very lengthy side walls, but one side of 500 walnut faces a corner, which means they can place windows on it and the other an existing highrise. So there are basically no plainly visible blank walls of 500 Walnut. This building is dominated by it's big blank side walls. It's not a great look.

There are now "WORK IN PROGRESS" posters for this project on the building fronting 18th.

If someone gets pictures of the "Work in Progress" signs, we can probably just move this one to "under construction." Since this is an overbuild, a lot of work on the project will be interior for a while.

Glad to see this one moving forward

There is definitely some truth to that.

It's an &Pizza. They're somewhat decent for a pizza chain.

They're amazing!

Started small in DC, but quickly expanding.

Looks like this one may be on hold. We'll move it back to proposals if we don't see more movement on this one within the next month or two.

That’s not the read I get on it. The zoning permit for the addition of automated parking was issued only earlier this month. The specifics of other engineering elements, such as the placement of new steel columns to be inserted, were likely somewhat dependent on this change. A lot of moving parts in this kind of overbuild.

I concur. Definitely don't think this one is stalled.

There’s an orange PLCB placard where the old Franklin mortgage was. The placard says that the foodery rittenhouse is moving to this location. Not sure what that could mean for this project but I’m all for the foodery coming back.

That’s most peculiar, as the plans included with the zoning permit issued just last month do certainly show 112 S. 18th as “To Be Demolished.” Perhaps there are other forthcoming design changes afoot that would retain that building. Certainly puzzling.
