Our oldest active hospital, the
Ottawa Civic, birthplace of Prime Minister Justin Trudeau. To be replaced a few blocks east in about 10 years. Ottawa Heart Institute on the upper, right.
Similarly to the old General, it will likely become a long-term care facility once the new Civic opens in 10 years.
The
Montfort, built in the 50s, Ottawa Francophone Health Centre. The Harris government tried to shut it down in the 90s (after they had closed the Riverside and Grace), but it was saved by the SOS Montfort movement.
