Human-Centric NYC //3 years running - huge thread

Ok, it's been over 3 years since my last New York City photothread, so here's a lightly curated selection. Grad school didn't leave much time for photography (outside of traveling), so what we're left with is a very human-centric thread, with shots from various walks, events, festivals and commute-time randomness. Enjoy!

What an incredible sensory overload. But somehow, I just want to start back at the top and do it all over again.

Incredible compilation, nice to see a lot of my community and stomping ground included. Always nice to see Matthew Silver in action, too.

these are so damn good. a lot of them really capture an element of 'the moment' - not just the scene, but the specific place in time. the nixie tubes are cool, and so is this. also, devan.

Thank you, as always! Maybe it's selfish but don't make us wait another three years (or even "only" a couple of months) for another one.

Some people are trying too hard to be weird for their own reasons, but it's okay.
Sensitive and touching thread. I'm fond of it.

And too many lovely buildings to be counted in NY. It's just like Paris in that respect.

Meh, some parts are really pretty, but I wouldn't compare it to Paris.

This may be the best thing on the internet, except for that pov date porn vid I lost track of a couple of weeks ago. Seriously though, this is absolutely brilliant.
