The city of Raleigh is moving ahead to the planning phase for a new city hall and offices.
Current city-owned block:
The city leases office space in a number of other offices, and as a growing city now average 500 walk in customers per day. Plans will replace this block with larger, more efficient buildings that will allow city employees spread out around downtown to move to a central location. They will also include a third building in the back that will be a public-private partnership to include retail and possible residential.
