No, not necessarily. They're concrete condo towers, so the "design" is going to generally be a boxy concrete form. And they're far cheaper to design and build, in general. You might have some curved balconies, but the condo towers are mainly the same general template... a concrete box with balconies that really only differs from the finished project by a coat of white paint and blue glass. From a cost standpoint, they "do better" in hurricanes because flat glass window panels are easy and comparatively cheap to replace.
