Seriously though, I didn't notice and it doesn't really matter to me, personally, what font they use. As long as it's not comic sans....too over-used!

Portage Place has a new logo and has slowly been changing over all the signage. Most of the exterior signs are new... so it's all good!

One thing that's a bit weird though to me – I feel like they should have called it 225 Carlton Apartments/Residence or something... I don't think it's at all clear to the average person that those 2 doors are to different places, and which goes to what. Aka I think a lot of people will walk into the apartment lobby thinking it's the shops.

The new logo does look better (just googled it), but still doesnt change the mall itself. :p

Well on the bright side, i can visit the Core and not have that infamous "Poooortaaaage Plaaaaaaaceeeeee" theme song stuck in my head.

However, no ones ever been found dead at Portage Place hiding behind the washroom walls... so we'll just call it even. Lol

I noticed a camera the other day on the corner of Carlton and St. Marys. It is pointed directly at the two tower cranes. Anyone know if it is online?

Not sure yet, but it sounds like it's imminent at this point.

Does anyone know what exactly the external cladding on the Sutton Place development will be? All the rendering are pretty crappy and vague.

The early renders kind of looked like glossy white panels.... which are currently going up on NewPort haha.

However, if you look at these newer photos on the RBCCC site, it appears like some sort of stucco panelling. From a Google scan, looks like all their other hotels are beige stucco with a bit of stone – so that might be a good (not good) indication.

Yah i was hoping for stone, their hotel offering seems pretty highend i hope they do not cheap out on exterior finishes. With quality materials the buildings could look really good.

Someone mentioned the camera that is up on top of the convention centre. I can see it out my window. Not sure when it was installed there.

Thank you. Well let you off the hook! This time haha

So theres the core and column locations for the one tower. Looks like they've started on forming the outer wall of the site as well.

Also just noticed they used a different method of showing for the south east corner of the hole. Looks like a concrete secant pile type wall. Or something similar.
