yeah, pretty much. They only have sidewalk and a lane of traffic blocked of and some space upfront by Schuykill Ave. They've been parking concrete trucks on 30th between market and chestnut while they wait for their turn.

Actually now that I think about it, they might be driving all the construction materials to the empty lot on the other side of the parking structure. Walnut side where Cira Center 2 is suppose to be... and the crane just lifts all the stuff over the parking structure and to the construction side. That lot is pretty big and easy for construction trucks to access. I'll check during my lunch break if this is true.

They used the other lot on Walnut St as a staging area.

They will put another crane up on the Walnut street side when that tower is ready to go up. Probably won't go up until after this one is finished.

Great updates, guys. The walk down Chestnut Street between UC and CC is going to feel very different once Evo, Chestnut Square, and 2116 Chestnut are all done and filled up.

You can just tell from the above render. The Evo is 407 feet... and Cira South Office tower looks like AT LEAST 200 feet taller than that.

After careful consideration, exacting analysis, and numerous extrapolations and calculations based on the latest rendering, my precise height prediction for the Walnut tower is: really tall (especially for West Philly).

Mark my words.

Is ground breaking set for the spring still?

And I go with 776 as the height...

FMC to relocate to Cira South?

Quote:
The latest round of speculation in the real estate community has FMC Corp., which is currently housed at Mellon Bank Center at 1735 Market St., fixed on becoming a tenant at Cira South and giving Brandywine the ability to move forward with that building. The chemical company has been in the market for 150,000 square feet of space.

Brandywine already has the University of Pennsylvania committing to about 100,000 square feet of the proposed building, which, when I last saw the plans, was about 35 stories and between 400,000 and 600,000 square feet. The real estate company wanted to pre-lease a certain amount of space before proceeding with construction of the building, which has a KOZ that runs until 2025.
