I think they're starting to pour the top floor of the Eddie Bauer Tauer.
I was just looking for an excuse to bump this thread up.

I've also noticed recently that they've fenced off the site and started digging a hole on the Ashwood Commons II site.
It seems awfully early to start it *already* but ya never know. Do we want to consider that to be "under construction?"

I say it's early because it was only proposed very recently.

oh, and im pleased to announce that the single family home at the NW corner of downtown park along NE 4th has been torn down and it looks like it will be replaced with some sort of park expansion. YESSSSSS. Now just get rid of those two in the CBDm those four along second, and that cluster near courtyard marriott and were good/

Today I noticed that they've started fencing off the Raymer Square site (where the Bravern Phase II will go). I was looking at that building early this week and noticed that the entire first floor had been vacated, and that there were lights on only in 1 office on the 2nd floor. So it appears that demolition is just around the corner!

What do you mean "proposed"? Ashwood Commons was announced as a multi-tower project years ago. I'm just guessing, but it's likely their MUP was all done at once too.
Saturday's Seattle Times had a section featuring Downtown Living in Bellevue. Not a lot new there, but some nice renderings of what the residential portions of the Bravern will look like within the context of the entire project. Pick it up if you can.
WOW.
Beautiful buildings. Im more interested in the podium though. Its possibly the best bellevue will ever see.
Im getting a little sick of twins though. The skylines just going to look wierd with two of each tower.

Great find, needsalife! I'll add them to the first post.

I noticed today they've started putting up the glass on the bottom floor of the Eddie Bauer Tauer. From what I can tell so far (hard to see it real good because it's sorta blocked), it looks like it's pretty highly reflective. Plus it's got these colored square thingys.

it doesnt look as reflective as the others in dt but its much more reflective than one lincoln tower.
I really do like the color though. And yeah, there are these blue pannels on the east side. Crazy stuff.
And looking west down NE 8th is awesome, you can see the north face angle out over the street (you know that step out thing).

Yeah I noticed the blue panels today too. It'll be interesting to see what it's all supposed to "mean" as they put on more.
In other news Ashwood Commons II is *definitely* under construction. I walked by there today and they've really begun digging the hole.
Now if we can only find a halfway decent rendering . . .

That's great about Ashwood Commons II! I was confused, because last week an industry journal said it was still in Design Development -- that's a technical term describing the middle stage of the design process. The journal, called a Dodge Report, is packed with errors so no surprise there.
Jesus, that's 12 high-rises underway in a little suburban downtown.
I saw today that workers had started tearing off the roof of the Raymer Square building, so I moved the residential portion of The Bravern from "Coming soon" to "Under construction."

For those interested....the Bellevue Towers website has been updated and now includes floorplans, including the 6000+ sq. ft. penthouse.
In my humble opinion, though, the BT layouts are overly complicated and somewhat haphazard....too many odd angles for my taste, anyway. Especially when compared to more straightforward layouts @ WaSquare, Lincoln Tower and Olive8. Just my two cents.
