Emory School of Medicine Health Sciences Research Building, phase 2 (HSRB2)

Emory School of Public Health, phase 3 (R Randall Rollins)

Since Emory & the CDC are now within the City limits, I guess these photos are appropriate for this thread. The HSRBII bldg is the much larger of the two projects and is directly on the future/proposed Clifton Corridor line, running along the right side with the tree-line.

Note the third crane in the distance in the HSRBII pic for the MASSIVE and NECESSARY parking deck being built over at the CDC. (Their employees had to valet with cars being double parked previously)

Saw 555 the other day and was hoping someone else caught a photo.

Kind of related, they began more demolition of MFH on Parkway between North and Ponce.

Sorry, but that's a gross mischaracterization. There was one surface lot on CDC's campus that did valet parking. All Federal employees are eligible for 100% reimbursement on MARTA costs, and there are multiple free park and rides in the Clifton Corridor. Then there's the planned (and funded) rail line you mention that will go directly to this spot.

Planned not funded. It’s been planned for over 25 years and they still haven’t even determined the type or route yet. It would also be 10 or more years before it ever exist. Get real.

It is funded. $350 million of the More MARTA initiative is for the Clifton Corridor. You're right that it will probably be 10 years or more before it exists, as the current time frame is for planning and design to be completed in 2025. not sure what the "get real" attitude is for.

The $350 M isn’t promised for sure. It is just on the list of all the items proposed for the more Marta. Nothing is guaranteed currently on the More Marta list.

Thanks for sharing these photos. It's great to see something going up in downtown, and the building itself looks pretty nice as well.

Let’s not forget, some people wanted to save a shack instead.
