Hancock needs new glass too. It would look great with some low iron glass.

Well, it certainly looks now like it will in fact just clear the height of the Pru, as expected

I've always felt that, while impressive, the Boston skyline has appeared oddly proportioned because its two (now three) tallest buildings are outside the Financial District core and also often appearing to stand alone and apart from one another with few buildings as tall in the immediate area of Back Bay and Copley Square. Since we're obviously limited in height by Logan for much of the city center, I can only hope for a handful of proposals in the future of a certain height to both link Back Bay with the core and also envelope these tallest buildings a bit more so they don't appear to rise from so little.

That being said, this building certainly helps that along tremendously, and the Winthrop Square project will boost up the other end as well.

Just need a handful of buildings about as tall as the State Street tower to fill in those gaps. This is a great addition to the skyline, gaps or no gaps.

More tall buildings are on the way, with the next ones to watch by the North Station area (5 towers between 495'-600'+, with at least slight movement on all 5). Also there's a 544' that's supposed to be built right near this one by the corner of Mass Ave and Boylston, which will be about on par with 111 Huntington (round glass one with the crown by the Pru). It feels slow, but there is a ton of construction in Boston and the immediate surrounding cities, with a pretty serious pipeline that should continue for the next few years.

Check out this one as it's the next immediate impact building for the Boston skyline. ~495' residential at North Station.
