903 Peachtree Ground Floorplan including crane location. Building will top out around Sept 2021 and be move in ready mid to late 2022[/

Yes that is another Great project that will look Good on Peachtree st. I almost forgot about that one lol. I thought Bulldogs was closed and going to be torn down but I saw it open on Saturday night and busy as I drove by So I guess the 903 pt st tower will not require bd to be torn down?

I agree with you Georgia peanut that’s a nice entrance design at the bottom of the tower, I’m Glad to see that one going forward soon.

Yeah, Bulldogs has been busy for decades. Now that it's completely surrounded, I can't imagine what would be possible on that lot if they ever sell. It's an incredibly small footprint to accommodate anything substantial, but I would absolutely love to see a nice pocket park there.

Last year there was a proposed tower on Peachtree st and 7th in midtown, on a lot right across from that sky house tower and I heard there was something going on about the property or something. I forgot the name of that project but I remember joe cool was really excited about that project. Do any know what proposed project I’m referring to? And do any know what happened to it? Is it ever going to happen in future? I think it was Evia Mabe or something. It was a nice looking tower from what I remember on the renderings. Maybe it was 2 years ago but have not heard anything about it since.

Yes a green pocket park would work as well if they tore down Bulldogs . I want to see something happen on the lot at 10th and Peachtree st, Drewberry owns that nice peace of property, 10th to 11th st really nice size lot that could accommodate a 35 story or so tower. Mabe a All gold Glass building with a great design.

Eviva and it's been long dead. Also it was 6th and Peachtree. 7th and Peachtree was the Hanover project which is built and people are living in it.

I only brought up the EXTREMELY close proximity topic at Bulldogs since we in the middle of a pandemic. I'm curious as to what modifications have been made to lower the risk of transmission.

I walked all over midtown Sunday evening. The crowds were elbow to elbow outside all the bars. There was no social distancing anywhere I observed except a few of the restaurants. I ate at the Nook. The restaurant was spaced out but it was elbow to elbow inside at the bar and many people were going inside ordering drinks and bringing them back to the spaced out tables on the patio.

When I walked by Bulldawgs around 9, there was a line at the door and glancing inside it was packed. All the bars/restaurants at 10th and piedmont were elbow to elbow (Blake’s was closed). There were several 100 people drinking all over the sidewalks. It was like a wall of people. What social distancing?

The irony of it all though, because this is the Midtown that we've all dreamed of for sometime. Now that there is a nice critical mass of people frequenting the bars and restaurants, we are in the middle of a once in a lifetime pandemic....lol.

To be fair, it was this way at this time last year; hell even six months ago. Of course, no one could have ever expected the circumstances we're experiencing now. Nevertheless, our city is doing much better than others. We're really lucky that we still have construction to keep us occupied.

Not sure what I would do while at work if I didn't have the earthcams to watch Midtown Union and 1105 Peachtree all day.

You are so right about those earthcams. I am obsessive about them. I went out with friends in New York yesterday, btw. The city is a ghost town. The city is letting us order drinks from restaurants outside and we can walk around with our drinks like in New Orleans. I think they should do this in Atlanta too...lol. It prevents clustering in bars.

I thought Atlanta was allowing you to purchase drinks and walk around with them. It should always be that way not just now....

If that's the case, then great! I agree that they should make this permanent. That would definitely get people into the central areas, especially Midtown and Downtown.

Yes that’s it, Eviva LoL, to bad though, that would have been a Great addition to the area. Who knows what’s next for that prime piece of land. I feel something will rise up on there some day.

Sports betting in Georgia could be sooner rather than later according to the Atlanta business chronicle. Sports betting bill takes shape through Georgia senate next month. I HOPE eventually Georgia will pass a gambling bill to allow casinos in Georgia. Especially here in the ATL. I gamble and have to drive to Bama or Mississippi gulf coast or Vicksburg to gamble. If Southern states like Mississippi, Alabama, N Carolina , have casino gambling, what is Ga waiting for? A lot of people that live here go to Nc, Ala, Ms to spend $ on gambling, staying in hotels/Motels,etc. when MGM was wanting to build a beautiful tall hotel casino tower in the past, it fell through. So sad. MGM ,It doesn’t get any better than that. I’m dying to see a huge casino resort tower with neon lights all over it blinking & billboards flashing many colors and the whole area Vegas style. Shreveport has a beautiful Sexy gold casino tower over looking I 20. Real nice addition to the Atlanta skyline or along the north perimeter if we get one. I’m just saying.

The Horseshoe casino in Shreveport is a Sharp looking Tower I think, All so up in Maryland just across the River from Virginia, that MGM is nice as well. But I’m holding my breath and crossing my fingers that one day we’ll get a Omni Hotel tower just like that one in Dallas with the led screens throughout the whole outside tower. What a light show that is. Any one that been to Dallas knows what I’m talking about. That would be sooooo sweet to see that in the midtown skyline along the connector, at night on a clear evening, yes sir. Oh and let’s bring back the Coke tower projector that use to have a Coke bottle image screen covering the building or something . A few years ago. That was out of sight. Then they took it down 👎
