Exclamation *warning*** Opening Ceremony Spoilers ***warning*

From the members of GamesBids.com, incoming details and pictures from the rehearsal going on as we speak:

- Rehearsal audience absolutely confused about what to do for audience participation.
- It appears that the five circular drapes have not been installed yet?
- "Apparently it's terrible - like REALLY bad. Also the audience participation thing is sketchy, confusing, and people are like "WTF"?"
- AUDIO IS TERRIBLE. Can't understand what's being said.
- there's an audience countdown and then lots of participation from the audience.... including drums & white t-shirts
- July Black is one of the performers
- there's a middle screen, projected from inside
- People are calling it boring.

EDIT: Twitter reports so far are only regarding the rehearsal for the ceremonial pre-show! Well, who cares then that the pre-show will be boring as long as the "main show" isn't? Obviously there aren't any further information leaking out from the rehearsal of the main ceremony -- from what I have read on some Twitter accounts, the audience members were asked to keep the secrecy.

FALSE ALARM PEOPLE...SHUT IT DOWN.

Of course it's going to be boring, it's an Olympic opening ceremony.

However, that really doesn't look like a fair representation of what it will be come show time. I hope.

I mean, at the very least there will be people in the crowd Too bad they couldn't hide the roof...

What do you expect? It's BC Place. They have never had good sound there.

At least the microphones will be tied in directly to the TV so people at home will be able to hear lol

That's why I'm gonna record it and watch it again

Not true at all...even compared to Torino and Salt Lake, what we see in picture at BC Place is a huge step down from Winter Games precedent.

Well, I am *almost* fully positive that the "decorations" are not complete. I'd bet they will still find a way to cover up the roof.

I mean, they can't very well have a "theatre" atmosphere with sunlight coming through the top, can they? Do ya think they thought of that ?

These pictures were taken about 30-45-mins before the rehearsal started. The rehearsal starts at 5.30. The actual Opening Ceremony starts at 6 pm, and it'll be dark by then.

For our own sake, I hope you're right.

The ceremony starts at 4PM PST. Are they gonna babble for an hour until it is dark, or something ?

EDIT: Nevermind. The TV coverage starts at 4.

Right. As if 20,000 people will keep a secret.

It'll be on Youtube in an hour.

It's fixed. The full sound system wasn't on during the pre-show...that was also the case at Beijing.
