Quinn Hughes has become the first defenseman to score 50 points in a Rookie campaign since 1992-93 season. The last two players to have over 50 points in a rookie season were Vladimir Malakhov in 1992-93 and Nicklas Lidstrom in the 1991-92 season. Malakhov was 24, and Lidstrom was 21; Quinn is 20.

He still has 20 games left, so he should end up at around 65 points, which would put him in very elite company. Adjusted for era, you could make an argument that Hughes is the best point producing rookie d-man of all time (if he finishes around 65 points).

So many teams so close!
And yet Canada’s highest team only ranks 12th in the league overall.

Last season showed the dangers of finishing at the top of the league lol.

Congrats to Quinn Hughes, the kid is going to be something special! Vancouver has been really impressive with their drafting the last couple years!

That road trip was huge and they needed at least 4 points from it, they did not get that.

Kelfbom - out
Kassian - out
Russell - out
Yamamoto - out

and the new guy they trade for last less than two games before injury.

Oilers are in a work of hurt, no pun intended. I just hope they can hang in there.

Dammit, last thing I wanted was a three point game. Someone needed to lose that one in regulation.

I can't remember the last time there were two goals scored in the last minute of a game without an empty net.
