You either have to have a tripod or a caffeine free diet and a crazy steady hand, otherwise you're up a creek. Even with a tripod mine sometimes come out blurry because I slightly jostle the camera when depressing the shutter.

Use the timer delay feature so you dont have to depress the shutter.

That would assume I still have the manual for the camera Ive tried figuring out where it is in the not terribly user friendly menus, but its annoying so I usually give up fairly quickly.

I probably could find a replacement manual online, but Im quite lazy.

push the button that looks like this:



Then, if your camera doesn't have a 'red-x' button, push the one that looks like a circle with a slanted line to the center (looks like a single handed clock).
